Shirlene Hvinden is a huge animal lover with a diverse background, both personally and professionally, which provides her a unique ability to relate to others. She has a strong desire to share and highlight the special animal - human bond that results when the two come together. Coupled with her love of the simple country life she strives to live as an example of balance and finding individual contentment.
Heritage Horses is a small endeavor she started late 2016 when pursuing a career change from what felt to be the corporate/work “grind”. With a high stress job and travel she found, as she has her whole life, the release and peace was when she was with her pets. Her aspirations of paying it forward or making a change were consumed by the long work days and demands. However, upon relocating, resetting her priorities, coming full circle to her original degree/education she found a spot to thrive in. In this new chapter she has cultivated what would become therapy work in senior living with a miniature horse.
